About Ryu
Background, key features and collector notes for this figure
Background
The wandering world warrior Ryu joins the battle for Cybertron! In this crossover, the spirit of the Street Fighter champion merges with the noble Autobot leader, Optimus Prime. The included Headmaster figure, representing Ryu, can pilot the larger body, combining honorable martial arts with immense robotic strength to unleash a Cyber-Hadoken on the Decepticons.
Release Notes
Released in November 2022, this figure was sold as part of the "Collaborations - Transformers x Street Fighter II" two-pack, alongside a Megatron figure reimagined as M. Bison. It was a general retail release with no known exclusivity or pre-order bonuses.
Alt Modes
- Headmaster (Titans Return)
- Robot
Collectibility
This figure is a niche crossover piece primarily appealing to dedicated fans of both Transformers and Street Fighter. While the base mold from Titans Return is familiar to collectors, the unique Ryu-inspired deco and Headmaster make it a standout display item. The 2-pack format made it a higher-priced entry, and its value on the secondary market has remained fairly stable, making it more of a novel collectible than a high-growth investment.
