Wide Load is an Autobot Dinobot created for the Construct-Bots line. Functioning as a loyal partner to the Age of Extinction version of Autobot Hound, Wide Load is a fierce, Stegosaurus-like warrior. He can operate independently or combine with his larger partner to provide enhanced armor and heavy firepower.
Released in July 2014, Wide Load was not sold separately but was included as a pack-in with the "Dinobot Warriors" class Autobot Hound figure. This two-pack was part of the wider "Transformers: Age of Extinction" toy line and saw a general retail release.
The Construct-Bots line was not a major success with adult collectors, and figures from this series generally have low demand and poor value retention. As a pack-in figure, Wide Load is primarily of interest to completionists of the line or those nostalgic for its unique building gimmick. The set is common and inexpensive on the secondary market.
Like many figures in the Construct-Bots line, the ball joints can become loose over time with repeated assembly and disassembly, potentially affecting the stability of poses.
