Starscream

The eternally treacherous Decepticon Air Commander, Starscream is second-in-command only by rank. His true ambition is to usurp Megatron and lead the Decepticons himself, a goal he pursues with cunning, scheming, and a healthy dose of cowardice. While a formidable and skilled aerial combatant, his arrogance and disloyalty are his defining traits, making him a constant, dangerous presence within the Decepticon ranks.

Starscream was released in July 2013 as part of the Scout Class assortment for the Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters wave of the Construct-Bots line. The figure was sold in a blister pack that included a reusable plastic tray for storing the parts. It was a mass-market retail item with no known store exclusives.

• Buildable figure that can be assembled into robot or vehicle mode.

• Includes two missile cluster accessories.

The Construct-Bots line was not a major success and remains a niche interest for most Transformers collectors, who generally prefer traditional transforming figures. Consequently, this Starscream has very low demand on the secondary market and is typically inexpensive and easy to find. It is primarily of interest to line completionists or those nostalgic for this specific building toy gimmick.

As with many figures in the Construct-Bots line, the ball joints can have loose tolerances, potentially making it difficult for the figure to hold dynamic poses. The plastic can also feel less substantial than that of mainline Transformers figures.
