Stinger is a man-made Decepticon created by Kinetic Solutions Incorporated (KSI) in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Designed as a deliberate improvement upon Bumblebee, he is arrogant and ruthless, serving as one of Galvatron's primary enforcers. Stinger mirrors Bumblebee's general body type but transforms into a sleek, red and black Pagani Huayra sports car.
Stinger was released in November 2014 as part of the "Bumblebee vs Stinger with Strafe" Dinobot Riders 3-pack. This set was a retail exclusive, available only at Walmart stores.
The Construct-Bots line was not a major commercial success and holds little appeal for most mainstream Transformers collectors, who tend to prefer traditional transformation schemes. As a result, this figure has low demand and minimal value on the secondary market. Its status as a Walmart exclusive does little to increase its desirability, making it primarily of interest to dedicated Construct-Bots completionists.
Like many figures in the Construct-Bots line, the ball-and-socket joints can become loose over time with repeated assembly and play, potentially compromising the figure's ability to hold poses.
