Silver Knight Optimus Prime

The noble leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime adopts a new knightly appearance in Transformers: Age of Extinction. This "Silver Knight" persona, complete with a powerful sword and shield, reflects his ancient warrior spirit and unwavering commitment to defending both humanity and his fellow Cybertronians from the forces of Galvatron and the bounty hunter Lockdown.

Released in June 2014 as part of the movie tie-in line for Transformers: Age of Extinction. This Optimus Prime figure was sold in a "Dinobot Rider" 2-pack alongside a figure of Grimlock. The set was available exclusively at Target stores in the United States.

As a Target exclusive, this set had slightly limited distribution but was part of a mass-market movie line. The Construct-Bots sub-line was not popular with most mainstream collectors, who often preferred the more complex figures from the Generations line. Consequently, this set has low secondary market demand and is generally considered one of the less desirable representations of the character from this era.

Like many figures in the Construct-Bots line, the ball joints can become loose over time, leading to stability issues and a 'floppy' feel. The clip-on armor pieces may also not attach as securely as desired.
