Roughneck

Roughneck is a fierce and loyal Autobot Dinobot ally created for the Construct-Bots toy line. As a Dinobot Warrior, he serves as a powerful partner to the stoic swordsman, Drift. Together, they form a formidable team, with Roughneck providing raw, beastly power to complement Drift's precise combat style.

Roughneck was released in May 2014 as part of the Transformers: Age of Extinction tie-in wave of Construct-Bots. He was not sold individually, but packaged with the larger Autobot Drift figure in the "Dinobot Warrior" assortment, allowing builders to create both figures and combine them.

The Construct-Bots line was generally not a major focus for most collectors, who tend to prefer traditional transforming figures. As such, this set has not retained significant value. Its appeal is limited to line completionists or fans of building toys, and incomplete sets are common on the secondary market due to the many small, easily lost parts.

Like many figures in the Construct-Bots line, the ball-and-socket joints can become loose over time, leading to poor stability and difficulty in posing. The plastic clips used for armor attachment can also be prone to stress marks or breakage with repeated use.
