Optimus Prime

The noble and compassionate leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime is a legendary warrior dedicated to protecting all life in the universe. He believes freedom is the right of all sentient beings and will stop at nothing to thwart the tyrannical ambitions of his nemesis, Megatron, and the Decepticons.

Released in July 2013, this version of Optimus Prime was part of Hasbro's customizable Construct-Bots line. It was not sold individually, but was instead packaged in the "Optimus Prime vs Megatron" Ultimate Class two-pack alongside his Decepticon rival.

• Buildable figure with a skeletal frame and snap-on armor
• Parts are interchangeable with other Construct-Bots figures for custom creations
• Includes multiple weapon accessories
• Features a push-button missile launcher

• Semi Truck Cab
• Robot

The Construct-Bots line was short-lived and generally did not resonate with mainstream Transformers collectors who prefer traditional transformation schemes. As a result, this figure has very low demand and poor value retention on the secondary market. It is primarily of interest to completists of the line or fans of building toys, but is not considered a key collectible and is easily found for a low price.

Like many figures in the Construct-Bots line, the ball joints and connection points can wear down and become loose with repeated assembly and disassembly.
