G1 - Action Masters: Action Master Blaster
Background, key features and collector notes for this figure
Blaster is the Autobots' communications expert and a frontline warrior who loves a good battle as much as he loves a good beat. With a deep appreciation for Earth's rock and roll music, he's often seen with his speakers at full volume, much to the annoyance of his more reserved comrades. His outgoing personality and bravery make him a popular Autobot, and he serves as the direct rival to the Decepticon spymaster, Soundwave.
Released in 1990, Action Master Blaster was part of the controversial Generation 1 sub-line that featured non-transforming figures. These figures offered enhanced articulation and cartoon-accurate sculpts at the cost of the brand's core transformation gimmick. The figure was released on a blister card in the United States.

Ratings and thoughts from collectors who own Blaster
As part of the first wave of Action Masters, Blaster is one of the more common figures from the sub-line. The line's departure from the transformation gimmick received a mixed reception, and as a result, these figures are generally less sought-after than their transforming G1 predecessors. While appreciated by G1 completists and fans of its show-accurate sculpt, Action Master Blaster is typically an affordable and easy-to-find figure on the secondary market.
