About Ironhide
Background, key features and collector notes for this figure
Background
Ironhide is the Autobots' veteran security specialist and one of Optimus Prime's oldest friends. Gruff, battle-hardened, and always ready for a fight, he's notoriously tough and protective of those he calls comrades. While he can be a bit of a curmudgeon, his loyalty to the Autobot cause is absolute.
Key Features
- Recreates the G1 toy aesthetic with full, modern articulation.
- Features die-cast metal parts in the chest and feet for premium weight and feel.
- Classic heat-sensitive Autobot rubsign on the chest.
- Integrated transformation converts the entire vehicle mode into the robot, eliminating the separate battle sled of the original toy.
Release Notes
Announced as part of Takara Tomy's high-end Missing Link series, C-14 Ironhide is slated for a December 2026 release. This figure reimagines the original Generation 1 toy with modern engineering and articulation, presented in packaging that evokes the vintage 1980s style.
