Shrapnel

Shrapnel is the Insecticons' specialist in electronic warfare, wielding the ability to generate powerful electrical blasts from his antennae. A particularly cruel Decepticon, he revels in the sounds of his enemies' suffering, considering the crackle of their fried circuits to be music. He can also use his antennae to control other insects, overwhelming his foes with swarms of creatures.

Released in July 2026, Shrapnel was issued as part of the Studio Series "Insecticons" 3-Pack alongside Bombshell and Kickback. This set was created for the MTMTE Collection, celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie. The pack was a general retail release with no known exclusivity.

As part of the highly popular Studio Series '86 sub-line, this Insecticon set is a key purchase for collectors aiming to complete the 1986 movie cast. The 3-pack format offers a convenient way to acquire the entire trio at once. While a mass retail release means it is not inherently rare, the high demand for core G1 characters in screen-accurate forms suggests this set will hold its value well on the secondary market.
