About Dio's Heavy Armor
Background, key features and collector notes for this figure
Background
The BB-EX04 Heavy Armor is an upgrade kit designed for the popular BeastBox figure BB-01 Dio, a stylized mechanical velociraptor. Rather than a character itself, this set provides enhanced firepower and protection for any Dio-based mold. The modular components can be configured as reinforced body armor or combined into a separate, autonomous weapons drone to support Dio in combat.
Key Features
- Modular armor set designed for BB-01 Dio and its variants.
- Combines with a Dio figure to expand its cube form from 4cm to a 5cm standard cube.
- Enables compatibility with 5cm BeastBox Box Charger accessories.
- Armor pieces can be reconfigured into a standalone weapons drone.
Release Notes
Released in January 2022, the BB-EX04 DIO HEAVY ARMOR was distributed in standard packaging with instructions. This kit allows collectors to enhance their existing Dio figures to match the standard 5cm cube size of later BeastBox releases.
