In the Transformers: Energon animated series and toy line, Prowl is a dedicated tactical officer and member of the Autobot security force. This figure was released in 2004 as part of the Combat Class (equivalent to the modern Deluxe Class) and was later repainted for various store exclusives and international releases.

• Powerlinx Gimmick: Engineered to transform into either the upper or lower half of a larger combined robot when paired with another Combat Class Autobot.
