Character Background

Strongarm is a member of the Omnicons, a specialized group of Autobots capable of mining and refining raw Energon into powerful weapons and stars. This figure was released in 2004 as part of the first wave of the "Energon Class" (Basic/Scout size) for the Transformers: Energon toy line.

Key Features:

• Energon Weapon: Includes a large, translucent red Energon axe that can also be held as a long-range blaster.
• Energon Star: Comes with a translucent red "Energon Star" accessory that can be pinned onto the figure's shoulder or other compatible ports in the toy line.
• Spark Crystal: Features a molded Autobot "Spark Crystal" on the chest, a signature detail of the Energon line.

Collectibility

Strongarm is highly valued by collectors for being one of the most articulated and "solid" figures in the Energon Basic class, offering a level of poseability that rivaled larger figures of the time. While the character is largely a "generic" soldier in the accompanying TV series, the figure is popular because its Energon weapon is compatible with almost the entire Energon and Cybertron toy lines. Collectors should be wary of the "spare tire" on the back of the vehicle mode, as it is simply the robot's head turned backward and remains clearly visible in alt-mode.
