Background
IB-08 Xuanwu is based on the Black Tortoise of the North, one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. The figure masterfully interprets this mythological being with a complex, mechanical design, representing the creature as a robotic tortoise entwined with an articulated, detachable snake that forms its tail. This release is a part of the popular 'Four Holy Beasts' subset within the InfinityBox line.
Key Features
- Intricate design by guest creators Yuki Tsuboshima and the X2R Team
- Features a highly articulated snake component that forms the tail
- Part of the 'Four Holy Beasts' sub-series
- Complex 38-step transformation sequence
- Articulated jaws and limbs in tortoise mode
Release Notes
Xuanwu was released in March 2025. It was available in two versions: a standard release including a transparent V2 Box Charger, and a Limited Edition that came with a custom dark teal Box Charger and a Xuanwu-themed desktop mousepad.
