About Dio (Mint, 2023)

Background, key features and collector notes for this figure

Background

Dio is one of the most popular and iconic designs in the BeastBox line, a mechanized Tyrannosaurus Rex belonging to the Dragonox faction. This limited edition 'Mint' version reimagines the ferocious predator with a cool, translucent blue color scheme, giving it a unique, almost crystalline appearance. Despite the refreshing deco, Dio remains a powerful and aggressive mecha-dino, ready to be unleashed from its cube form.

Key Features

Limited edition translucent mint color scheme with 'MINT' tampograph on head
Transforms from Tyrannosaurus Rex to a 4cm cube in 12 steps
Features an articulated jaw and tail
Includes a custom 'Box Charger' storage case

Release Notes

Released in May 2023, the Mint Dio was available exclusively as part of a 'Brainfreeze & Mint' two-pack, celebrating the 7th anniversary of the BeastBox brand. Early production runs of this commemorative set also included a special collectible 7th Anniversary coin featuring the character Delta, making it a prized item for early adopters.
