BB-01SHCC DIO is a robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex and a member of the Dragonox faction. While BeastBox characters typically have minimal lore, Dio's T-Rex form suggests a powerful and aggressive nature. This special edition features a striking and heroic color scheme of bold red, white, and light blue, setting it apart from the standard Dio releases.

This version of DIO was released in October 2017 as a limited exclusive for the Shanghai Wonderfest event. Unlike the standard boxed BeastBox figures, this convention special was distributed in a carded blister pack. As a result, it did not include the clear plastic 'Box Charger' storage case that typically comes with mainline releases.

This figure is a special color variant of the BB-01 Dio mold. The standard retail version of BB-01 Dio was released in a yellow color scheme, with numerous other color variants produced over the years, but this red, white, and blue version remains exclusive to the Shanghai Wonderfest 2017 event.
