About Dio (SHCC)

Background, key features and collector notes for this figure

Background

BB-01SHCC DIO is a robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex and a member of the Dragonox faction. While BeastBox characters typically have minimal lore, Dio's T-Rex form suggests a powerful and aggressive nature. This special edition features a striking and heroic color scheme of bold red, white, and light blue, setting it apart from the standard Dio releases.

Key Features

Transforms from a 4cm cube into a T-Rex in 10 steps
Exclusive red, white, and light blue Shanghai Wonderfest color scheme
Features an articulated, opening jaw
Special blister card packaging instead of a standard box

Release Notes

This version of DIO was released in October 2017 as a limited exclusive for the Shanghai Wonderfest event. Unlike the standard boxed BeastBox figures, this convention special was distributed in a carded blister pack. As a result, it did not include the clear plastic 'Box Charger' storage case that typically comes with mainline releases.
